Mr Henry Boorman having intimated to me / that he is an applicant for some situation to / procure which it may be necessary to exhibit some / testimonials as to character and conduct, it is with / pleasure that I remark that he has for a long / time been in habits of intimacy with my sons / and of course a frequent visitor in my family, / which has afforded opportunities of observing that / his conduct has always been modest, correct, and / gentlemanly, and such as has induced the opinion / that he is a young man of very estimable qualities.
