Mr A. D. Irving
Dear Sir.
In answer to yours of the 15th inst. I will / say this balance is on bill for Extras and / balance on Old House Contract, as the / work in New Addition as been passed as / correct by Mr Mersereau and paid for / Mr. Hunter to the last cert.
All of the work in New Addition was done / according to the Specifications and according / to Mr A. D. Irving’s instructions, for instance / the Dining Room, the Specifications call for / wood work to be white with gloss, than Mr / A. D. Irving gave orders to painted cream color / and flat, also his bed room.
If Mr Mersereau made mistake I do not find / it fair that I should be made pay for it.
Respectfully Yours.
