Curatorial Remarks

Note

Miscellaneous: Compare with SS.61.41 - similar bottle, wintergreen - possibly made by same glass house? Unlike today, when peppermint is primarily used only as a flavoring agent, the 19th century, and even early 20th, utilized it as a medicine for the stomach, for tooth-ache, etc.
