Description

Late 19th century French Rococo Revival (?) vase lamp with a chimney shade and glass globe; cast brass collar and base with classical floral motifs, a pyriform porcelain font with an enameled blue body and a reserve depicting an amorous couple...in a gilt gold floral frame. The cylindrical clear glass chimney shade sits around the wick shaft and the etched, globular hurricane shade rest on the collar surrounding the lower part of the chimney. The decor on the globe shade is of a luscious grape vine with bunches of grapes and leaves. The upper part of the globe is completely etched. The vase "font" rests on a circular brass base with three legs in the form of grape leaves.
