Silver-plated metals, round paperweight with bas-relief classical-style profile of a bust figure of Washington Irving: has wavy hair with sideburns, bare shoulders, round paperweight has double outer edge, maker's name in relief lettering below figure, "A.I. Wenning, N.Y."; backside has relief of laurel wreath inside relief lettering "Washington Irving, Born April 3, 1789, Died Nov. 28, 1959."
