Pear-shaped pitcher, pressed mold, with decoration in the form of knights jousting; narrows at neck, widens at the bottom, set on a small base which flares out, angular handle with floriated ornament attaches at top and waist of pitcher. Twelve cusped arches with foliate motifs between each one decorate the top portion of the pitcher. Directly beneath the spout is a tent motif, on either side of which two knights on horseback run toward one another. On both sides of the handle stands a guard, clad in armor and clutching a pole. Along the circumference of the waist is a row of fleur-de-lis which alternates with crocketing. Beneath this row is a one inch band of grapevines, which also run the circumference of the pitcher. The last and bottom row of the pitcher are twelve cusped arches with tracery motifs between each one. The pitcher is set on a polygonal base with eight foliate motifs extending down.
