One of a set of circular plates with hand-painted, polychrome scenes of fruit and flowering branches: Each plate depicts one type; the set includes grapes, oranges, strawberry, apple, pear, plum; a transfer printed gilt border surrounds the rim; white background; raised foot rim.

On the bottom of the plate is a transfer-printed purple inked mark: "DECORE/ PAR/LIMOGES/ TV/ POUR/HIGGINS & SEITER/ NEW YORK/; another mark printed in green: "T & V/ LIMOGES/ FRANCE"; on the front of the plate, on a leaf appears the decorator's signature in red: "REIS".
