Description

One of eighteen pots-de-crème marked "EL": a: white urn-shaped body on round foot; two ear-shaped handles; gilt on rims, hands, mid-body, stem and foot; Gothic script monogram: "EL" in blue enamel, contained within gilt laurel wreath; vendor's mark: "G. Baruch Weil, aine". b. matching domed cover with knob finial; same painted motif.

Remarks: Generally in excellent condition; slight wear on gilt rim; dirt and wear on foot rim. These are in poor condition: .134-.137 B - all missing finials; .137-missing right handle; .138 & .139 - chipped foot rim, missing cover; finials for MP.88.134-.137 and also 2/3 of a broken pot de creme lid found in envelope.
