Note

The Nov. 18, 1865 edition of The Tobacco Leaf, the weekly publication of the tobacco industry, has two prominent ads on page 3, one for "Thomas Hoyt & Co. Our brands fine-cut chewing: Sunnyside..." and another for "Hoyt, Flagg & Co., Successors to Hoyt, Barbour & Co. Louisville" which also lists "Sunnyside" as one of their products [Jessa Krick, 8/31/2020].
