Curatorial Remarks

Note

4/8/47 - Cost $292.00 for 44 pieces - Ian Simmonds, a glass dealer from Dobbs Ferry, NY, examined this piece with Anne Goslin and suggested the date c. 1840 was too early. He thought the 1870s was more likely. The handle was patented in England. He attributed this piece to the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company [Jessa J. Krick, 12/9/2010].
