Saucer, part of a monogrammed tea service: script monogram "AS" is within an eight pointed star with inner circle of blue and gold zig-zags; round, deep sides with cyma-curved edge; very small foot; gold cross-hatching and scallops with dots around inside of rim.

Object record states object was "Stolen, 8/22/1981." As a result, the object has been declared stolen. [Jessa J. Krick, 7/19/2010]. 12/31/87 appraisal page 58 Masterson & O'Connell valued 10 saucers at $2000. The references to Capt. Dean's association with this set must have been made by Mrs. Browne since it appears in the account books made at the time of purchase. Similar pieces, part of a coffee service, are held in the collection of The Albany Institute of Arts.
