Description

Circular bowl on foot with domed cover, in "scrolls and flowers" pattern: Cover has slightly curving sides divided by four gentle ribs topped with two molded bud-like finials surrounded by raised stem and leaves; bowl has scalloped rim with integral handles (composed by intertwining leaf and branch); rim includes lip for cover placement; sides curve to flared foot; decoration consists of white ground with gilt outlines on finial buds and leaves and leaf handles; the scroll and flower border appears around rim of cover, interior of bowl, exterior of bowl; the small half-flower border appears around foot rim; the floral spray appears in center of bowl; mark appears on bottom: "MINTONS" impressed in side of foot rim with three illegible devices.
