Notes
Remarks: On August 22, 2014, new white cloudy areas of mold were discovered on this piece after a period when when the Ferry House had not been opened and aired for nearly a week, due to schedule changes and lack of back-up staff. The mold was particulary evident under the shelves and on the inside of the uprights, as well as on the exterior of the proper right upright. The piece was placed out in direct sunlight for two days. The areas of mold were rubbed with a barely damp (distilled water) cloth, which immediately improved the condition. Although it is a painted surface, this treatment was deemed necessary to arrest further mold growth and the wood itself was never dampened [Jessa J. Krick, 9/8/2014].
