Note

This pair of wooden shoes was found in a storage closet on the lower level at PM Visitors' Center with other items that evidently had been used as props for "Dutch Christmas" at PM years ago (punch cups, carrots made of fabric, faux fruit, etc.); the cardboard boxes in which the items were stored had gotten wet and moldy due to sewer blockage issues; the pair of shoes was found to be soft and moldy with acidic newsprint affixed to the surface of the shoes; they were disposed of so as not to contaminate other parts of the collection; the status of the shoes is now deaccessioned for reasons of condition [Jessa J. Krick, 8/2/2017]. Notes on object file and on object card state: "PM: Attic 6/[19]77"; this object has not been seen for an extended period during which several inventories were completed, so it has been declared missing [Jessa J. Krick, 12/3/2009]
