Description

Sinumbra lamp, electrified with shade, vase-shaped pedestal with lustres: frosted cut glass shade with flaring rim, reel-shaped neck bisected by a knop; flattened bulbous bottom; cut decoration consists of faceted rim and knop; geometric arrangements of ovals above and below the knop; at base of neck, cut swag and oval design; running band of flowers, leaves and grapes; gilded brass lamp base topped by three electric sockets and pull chains emerge from glove-shaped element topped with roughly pine cone shaped finial; ring shaped reservoir; two fuel arms come from cylindrical element; concave and convex ring elements above band of air vents; high shouldered vase form has flaring lip with concave leaf forms below lip; columnar neck with quarter round ring; shoulder has repeating bosses separated by leafy elements; tapering body; at base are leafy elements; narrow reel-shaped element tops the round stepped base which in turn sits on a double square base; the bottom's drilled to accept the electric wire; forty lustres hang by brass wires from side of reservoir; lustre consists of a faceted square with a triangular drop and pointed terminus.
