Floral chintz slipcover with arm sleeves for Late Empire style sofa: form follows shape of sofa, MP.88.173; welted seams along outline; zipper closure center of back; floral pattern of yellow and green ribbons flowing among green, pink, white, yellow, orange and purple flowers which include tulips, carnations, and other flowers. mark appears on warp edge stamped: "DUPONT ZEPEL R SOIL AND STAIN REPELLER/ AN ORIGINAL SCREEN PRINT/ COPYRIGHT/ BLOOMCRAFT R/ PROTECTED WITH TOTAL ACTION/ A SELECTION FROM (in script): The Royal Windsor Garden Collection II C" (obscured heraldic device); zipper stamped "ROBIN/ MADE IN USA".
