Note

Sofa reproduced by Harden Furniture Company. The Connecticut Historical society owns a similar, though more robust, sofa with a Brooklyn history. 7/26/2001 Leslie DeGeorges, Scalamandre rep, visited VCM Manor house and saw sofa in the Parlour. She stated that Scalamandre now has a fabric that is woven more similar to the 1780's time period that would be more appropriate for this sofa. She also stated that the trim should be more of a flat binding tape trim instead of the cording trim.
