Description

A black & white engraving of St. John's Chapel as seen from the southwest. The building is very simple and classically inspired. The tripartite west facade is shadowed by the pedimented porch which is supported by two pilasters on either side. The upper windows of the facade as well as the two horizontal rows of windows on the south wall are rounded arched. The roof of the nave is edged by a ballustrade with urns at its corners. The tower is composed of four parts and topped with a weather vane. People gather in the foreground.
