This survey of the tenant farms in the Manor of Philipsburg was carried out by Nathaniel Merritt in 1778, two years into the Revolutionary War. Many familiar names that would later appear on street signs can be found on it and the document, elegantly written and charted, is a very useful tool for genealoical research today.
