Dressing table, black lacquered finish with ormolu mounts and ormolu moldings outlining form: flat lid with three hinged sections; C-curved sides; central lid lifts up with mirrored top; rosewood tray over compartment; two side lids lift out to reveal open compartment; brass nameplate on closed lid: "MBW"; S-curved legs; slide drawer with floral scrolled ormolu molding on front; keyhole with decorative ormolu escutcheon on front of table; Vendor's paper, plate block, label glued to bottom of drawer (in poor condition): "BAUDOUINES'S/FASHIONABLE FURNITURE & UPHOLSTERY/ESTABLISHMENT/ 335 BROADWAY/ NEW YORK/ keeps constantly on hand/ Largest Assortment of elegant Furniture/ to be found in the United States"; with image of an Italianate commercial building with storefront and furniture; people on sidewalk.
