Description

One of a pair of half-round tables with Italian marble tops, four tapering legs and semi-circular base which forms shelf: wide band of veneer runs around front and sides of table top (brass-plated half round at top and stringing on top edge of base; marble tops with painted and composition inlaid designs differ: .70 has white background with 2" wide orange band echoing shape of edge; in center, bouquet of three flowers tied by pink ribbon; gold circle containing blue and brown urn on either side;

Remarks: Details of condition: .70 - Overall looseness, right back corner; (top) badly split; veneer breaks, several left side of top, left side of base, right side of base; overall cracking of veneer; stringing missing near left back leg and on left (top) of base; poor veneer repair on front right (top); marble top overall dirt and wear, 3 deep scratches center left back, chip front left corner. Tops cleaned on site by Heidi Miksch, 1988.
