Rococo Revival style cottage occasional table, painted ivory with multicolored decorations of flowers and garlands with gilded edges and lines. The twelve sided table top is roughly 13" across and is decorated with a bunch of flowers in the center. Under each of the twelve sides hangs an ornately carved cartouche, every other one has a painted flower at its oval center. Many of the cartouches are loose. The table is supported by a hexagonal shaft with gilt edges that terminate at a triangular base. The shaft and base are visually joined by three long sloping catouches, each covering two sides of the heaxagonal shaft. Each cartouche has an oval center decorated with a single flower and ends with a half acorn on the base. The base is triangular with flat corners (not pointed ones). Each long side of the base has two S-shaped curves end-to-end with a raised circle at center. The base rests on three feet.Made/Created
