Description

Silk damask olive green table throw with floral decor, possibly hand embroidered with shields, crowns and crosses with metallic fibers of gold and black color. The table throw is bordered by an alternation of shields with crowns adorning and crosses with two horizontals and stars. The shields are composed of two oblique bands running from upper left to lower right. In the upper right and lower left corners are five pointed stars. The crown is topped by a star. They are outlined in black and colored with gold. The borders are noted by black bands parallel to the edges of the cloth. The vertical borders run full length while the horizontal borders terminate at the vertical's inner edges. This border provides a rectangular plane where two rows of shields, without stars over the crown, and six (instead of five) pointed stars in the upper right, and lower left corners, the right row being a half step lower than the left. The table throw is backed with silk and lined with burlap.
