Note

Miscellaneous: Maker's monogram seems to bear the date "09"(1709); has not been identified so far; touch-mark, of rampant lion in oval, flanked by the letters "IB(R?)" also escapes identification. Tankard was made in Germany (note characteristically German thumbpiece) for the English market, a rather frequent occurrence. Reign of Queen Anne - 1709-1714.
