Condition

Notes

Remarks: There are scattered losses throughout the frame. Losses will be filled with Flugger fill material and retouched with watercolor. (Condition analysis and treatment proposal: Shawn Digney-Peer)

Notes

Overall Analysis: For a detailed account of restoration by S.& C.Keck, Brooklyn, NY, March 1958 see folder. In brief, face cleaned, sprayed with damar varnish and plastic; reverse treated with shellac; inlay applied to split in wood. Kecks attr. panel as probably 19th c. Restorers note caution should be observed in hanging, as wood will react sharply to variations in humidity; accordingly should not be lent.
