Description

Three-footed stoneware or heavy porcelain round pot stand, white, glazed, and having a delicate pattern incorporating gardening motifs. The stand is flat across its surface with a very slight bump in the center. There is a ridge 1/2" from the rim that juts up, having a deeper side toward the center than toward the rim. The rim is slightly higher than the ridge. The decoration is over the glaze and is worn off in places. There is a small center medallion of pink and blue flowers; a green leaf ring about 1 1/2" out from that; 2 floral sprays, opposite one another and tied with a ribbon; a watering can and other gardening tools and roses at top; and a band or ring with arrows, a torch, a winged rod, and roses through it at bottom; a leaf ring surrounded with gold band is at the rim.
