Description

Black and white framed photographic portrait bust of Violetta White Delafield. She looks directly outwards towards the viewer. She wears pearls about her neck and her drees has a scooped neck collar with a lace border. It appears to be a platinum print. The frame is of brass and is ornately engraved with leaf ornamentation bordering a protruding sparse line following the contour of the frame. The side of the frame is arranged in three horizontal registers, the upper and lower engraved with a wave-like pattern, and the middle a hatched design. The backing is of a tan woven material about a stiff underlying board. At the top is a brass hanging ring.
