In this letter dated April 22, 1916, Mead states that he knows of Tilden’s work from Mr. Brush (a relative of Mead’s), who recently purchased a farm in Germantown. Mead states that he has made an offer for the (Elmer) Boise Farm of Upper Red Hook, and would like Tilden to search its title. Mead mentions G. Willard Platt as his broker.
