1865 NYS Census book owned by Jacob W. Elseffer and used as a scrapbook, likely by another member of the Elseffer family. The inside front cover is inscribed as follows" "J. W. Elseffer, Esq. Respects of Chauncey Akud (?)". Pasted on inside of back cover is a label "Farmers Bank of Hudson, Oct 3, 1862" and a Ten Cents note issued by the Corporation of the City of Albany, Nov 24, 1862.Collection
