Letter to William F. Day from Mr. Hasbrook of Kingston Regarding Mr. Mead’s Farm Search, 1915Entry/Object ID
2024.9.148Scope and Content
In this letter dated August 11, 1915, Mr. Hasbrook writes to Day that he believes Mead is being influenced by folks from Kinderhook, and informs Day that while the Kinderhook folks have larger apple orchards, “. . . we can beat them every way when it comes to other kinds of fruit, and to apple quality . . .”. Hasbrook in particular praises Mollura (sp?) as a property. He advises Day that his client Gordon Mead should “hurry up” and references that his own brother has been looking for “a place” (a farm) in Kinderhook and throughout the state, seemingly as a way to illustrate his understanding of NY farms for sale and that time is of the essence.Relationships
