Description

The Red Hook Advertiser (1866-1869). “An independent local family newspaper” published by Chauncey A. Reed, 50 cents/year. Located ‘two doors east of Massoneau’s store’ First issue we have is Jan 27, 1866, Vol 1 #4. In the July 28, 1866 issue it was mentioned “The Advertiser has now circulation in this section larger than any other.." This appears to have been a competitor to The Red Hook Journal, also published from 1866. We have physical copies only.
