Cole Gillett (Mrs. Allen Lewis Gillett) Vol 1- Cole Troy, New York 1963 (note: Vol. 2 of this collection, centering on the ancestry of Allen Lewis Gillett), is not apparently held in the Historic Red Hook Archives) This volume reviews first the historical background starting in the early seventeenth century, of the earliest Cole (possibly Cool) immigrants from Holland. Highlights of the history of New Netherland are followed by histories of specific Cool families. Supporting records, such as birth/marriage records, bible records and wills, are integrated into the family tree.
