Scope and Content

Three ledgers purchased by Barbara and Bob Bielenberg at Tuttle's Bookstore in Rutland, Vermont and donated in 2004. Include 1) Day Book of Enoch Schultz (Red Hook Merchant?), May 1853-Sept 1854, 292 pages. Lists purchases of Dry Goods, Food Products, Hardware etc and clients include Donaldson, Bonesteel, Elseffer, Hapeman, Fraleigh, Coons, Curtis. 2) Blackmith's Ledger (Frederick Schultz?) April 1858 - Feb 1862, 138 pages, clients include Aspinwall, Hoffman, Chamberlain, Staats, Astor, Delano, Bard 3) Ledger, June 5, 1876 - alphabetized list of client and financial accounts of local names such as Chanler, Elseffer, Fraleigh, Vosburgh, Rockefeller etc.
