In the late 1940s or early 1950s, the Red Hook Fire Department relocated from its prior, smaller (one-bay) building on Prince Street to the Sittenham house, on the east side of South Broadway (now -- 2016 -- the centerpiece of Firehouse Plaza), which was renovated to accomodate the Department's additional, and larger, equipment.Photograph Details
