Description

From left: Anna Mae Balsam (Baldwin) Teator (1909-2006), her friend Florence ?, Elizabeth and Leona Teator. The Case tractor powered an augur which blew chopped corn into the concrete-block silo, built circa 1948, attached to the cow barn housing the Teator Dairy's holstein cows. The Teators sold the farm in 1964 to Joe Aloy, of Poughkeepsie, and his wife, Katherine Holoczech (sp?), who ran trotter and pacer horses for the next 17 years. The farm passed hands twice more before Woody N. Klose, from neighboring Echo Valley Farm, and three partners bought and developed the Teator farm in the mid-1980s.
