Lindner, Bard College archaelogist, describes his work in 2003 analyzing the ground around the Elmendorph Inn in preparation for construction of a new replacement 'barn.' He found infrastructure (perhaps the foundation of original barn and hay barrack) as well as a dry well, septic tank and cistern, but no significant early artifacts.
