The old Harrietstown Town Hall, Riverside Inn, and other buildings are visible with mountains in the background. Used, divided back, postmarked August 2, 1916, Trudeau, NY. Published by Rudolph Bros. Art Publishers, Syracuse, New York. Caption printed on front reads, "Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks, N. Y." Handwritten message on the back reads, "Saranac Lake, Aug 1, 1916. Dear Bill: We are here for the night and after calling on Everett Crothers in the morning will push on to Plattsburg. Hope to arrive at Plattsburg tomorrow night. Only made 86 miles today. Couldn't make time on account of the hills and winding roads. Saw a fawn today. If I only had a little salt and could get near enough to him think I could have caught him. This place is livelier than Geneva but would rather live in Phelps. Rather chilly this evening. Have had fine weather thus far. Tell Gram not to worry about us. We are collecting souvenirs for you.
