Color postcard of the Riverside Inn [formerly Blood's Hotel] with a horse-drawn stagecoach out front. Used, divided back, postmarked February 6, 1910, Saranac Lake, NY. Printed by LV & Sons. Caption printed on front reads, "Riverside Inn, Saranac Lake, N.Y." Handwritten message on back reads, "My Dear Lottie, Just a note to let you know I am at 15 Shepherd [sic] Avenue, Saranac Lake. Lovely house [illegible] 8 degrees below now at 9 o'clock--very cold--crisp air. Walter is in bed all the time--in a cold room--windows wide open. His temperature was up so Dr. put him to bed. The [Millers?] have a cottage next door so that will be a little company for Mrs. Griggs as she gets very lonely and almost discouraged. Maybe you are all well. Love to all, Sister Alice Ellis." Mailed to Mrs. Ernest Jennings, Church St., Cortland, N.Y.Subject Place
