Color postcard showing the village of Saranac Lake from Lake Street/Blood Hill. Many buildings and homes in the village are visible, including the Riverside Inn, the old Harrietstown Town Hall, the second St. Bernard's Church, and the original Saranac Lake High School. Used, divided back, white border, postmarked June 28, 1918, Saranac Lake, NY. Printed caption on the front of the card reads, "Saranac Lake, N.Y. in the Adirondacks." Handwritten caption on the back reads, "Friday, 11 Am. Your letter to Bess just rec'd. Too late for a long letter so will send this to let you know I am still on my feet but go to see Dr. [T?] Sat. He was at Conference at Saratoga too & saw [Bion?] so could not see him Tues. and don't know my gain but some I am sure. Will send another card first of week and one to Bess for this time. She [?] safely in N.Y. again. Do go to them while they have the berries & eat a lot for me. Glad you had a good visit. Lots of love. [name illegible]." Mailed to Mrs. E. J.
