2021.3.60Description
Color postcard showing a scene of a river surrounded by foliage with a mountain range in the background. The printed caption on the front reads, "Adirondack Mts., N. Y. Reflection of White Face Mountain in Au Sable River." Used, divided back, postmarked November 6, 1908, Saranac Lake, NY. Printed by the Hugh C. Leighton Co., Manufacturers, Portland, Me. Handwritten message on back reads, "Friday Noon. Stronger but still in bed. Dr. H. gives me no encouragement that I may sit up for some time. Have just had dinner. Enjoyed your letter, will answer it sometime. Write again when Addie gives you a chance. The storms have stopped Papa's work for a time as it was on the outside of this building. I would love to have you come tumbling in here as you did in S. I can't help but be a bit lonesome. Still people are very kind to me. Be sure and write soon. B.A.D." Mailed to Mr. R. A.
