Color postcard showing an image of a brook full of logs and rocks. Printed caption on the front reads, "Cold Brook, from Old Log Dam, near Saranac Lake, N. Y." Used, divided back, postmarked November 13, 1908, Saranac Lake, NY. Printed by the Valentine & Sons' Publishing Co., Ltd. Handwritten message on the back reads, "Friday AM. Have just finished breakfast. You see I am taking turns with the post cards. About myself - It is the same old story. Dr. said yesterday that he could not tell how long I would have to stay in bed but I am getting to feel quite at home it in. I am working on Adirondack sofa pillows. Rapid work. Am allowed to do one needleful of silk a day and I am glad to rest when it is done. I am reading a little more. Hope Papa may come to see the babies. My room is so cold that I have to keep my arms covered when I write so can't do very well. This bulletin is for all - I dream about you people sometimes. Shall expect a long letter. Am sending a letter of love, Lovingly B.A.D." Mailed to Mrs. R. A. Niles, Cazenovia, N. Y.Subject Place
