Letter that reads, "Aug. 3-08. My Dear Mother, Just a few lines to let you know we got here alright. And the trip was very nice. It is very pretty up here. And wish you and Nellie were her. The country up here is very sandy. You can't cross the roads without getting full of dust. We were out for a ride all this morning, over to Lake Placid, and it was grand. I take long walks every day, before meals, so I won't get too stout. Will gets from 1/2 past 10 in the morning till 1/2 past 4 in the afternoon every other day while we are up here. All the other days (?) has one (?) in mornings and afternoons. So you can see the time we have together. Well Mother can't think much to write this time, but will send a longer one next time. Please excuse writing and such a short one. Will close with (?) love, From your loving, Tarsilla." Address included in letter is "Miss T. Fletcher, Ray Book, Essex Co.
