Postcard from William to Tarsilla Schuster dated January 14, 1916. Message reads, "Friday Jan 14, 6pm. Dearest Toots, Just got back from driving to Lake Placid. I enjoy it and wish you were with me was very cold 12 below zero. This will be a very cold night. How are you feeling? I looked at my (?) letter this AM. Was angry when I wrote it. So don't think about what I said. How is John and Baby let me know each day also about yourself and Nellie and be sure to get a doctor that understands business. Promise you will not return to work. (?) and comply with my requests and make me feel my (?) age. Wish I were with you I would nurse you and take care of you. Am feeling fine gained 9lbs the (?) weigh 132 now. Love and kisses, Will." Next lines are illegible. Addressed to "Mrs. W.J. Schuster, 103 Ditmas Ave Brooklyn, N.Y. c/o Mrs. M.A. Fletcher" and postmarked in Ray Brook.Collection
