Two page typewritten letter on the letterhead of Harvey P. Groesbeck, M.D. in Schenectady, NY. It reads, "8 June, 1914. My Dear Mr. Schuster, I am in receipt of your letter of recent date and am very sorry to hear that you and Mrs. Schuster are both inmates of Raybrook and wish to extend my heartiest sympathy to you in your present trouble, as I presume that it is only a question of time until you both will be discharged cured. As to the amount due me for services please do not think of it again, let us all forget it and if you are ever in a position where you can spare the money, well and good; but if you cannot well afford it, then consider it paid. In any case I shall not send you any more statements. Please don't worry about it but, if you do think of it at all, think of the matter as closed. I am glad that you are progressing satisfactorily and hope that Mrs. Schuster is doing as well. Of course tuberculosis is curable with proper treatment and diet and the most important things are rest, fresh air and nourishing food. I have a patient here who is taking the treatment at home and who, after about eight months, is free from nearly all symptoms and well on the way to full recovery. With very best wishes to you and Mrs. Schuster and hoping that you both will soon be well, I am very truly yours, H.P. Groesbeck, 1226 State Street. P.S. Would be glad to hear from you from time to time. Hope the youngsters are doing well. H.P.G."Collection
