Letter from Tarsilla Schuster to her mother and sister, dated March 25, 1914. It reads, "My dear Mother and Sister, Just a few lines to let you know that everything is alright. I arrived 6:45 last evening. Will was there to meet me. I have to wait for eight day until I can have my walks. First Dr. Garvin examines me then I can go out for my morning and afternoon walks. If you ever saw the girls and men up there you would never think it was a hospital. They all have such good color and are about as thin as I am. It is like being at a hotel. This morning I was shown how to make my bed (this they do with all the new ones), polish my floor, dust my bed and dresser, woodwork, was my stand I use next to my bed (same as they have in any hospital). They building is so very clean. Not any dust or a thing around. Every room the same. Will certainly looks well. His face is much fuller and a good color. Mother please send John's picture, one with the short dress, dictionary, ink, shoe blacking, if you have the Wed. Thursday and Friday evening journal, please send them up. I want to finish that story. When you get my blue dress finished send all together. Dear mother please do not worry. Everything..." Letter cuts off here.Collection
