Ray Brook, N.Y. Dec., 31, 1918. Dear Viola: Your Christmas Calendar received and I thank you very much. It was lovely of you to remember me. Christmas was very pleasant here I received many pretty gifts. A 3lb. box of candy also a 5lb. box--a stunning umbrella, the kind you carry on the [waist?], a 3 piece ivory set, 3 pairs of silk hose, a stunning silk underskirt, bath robe, bedroom slippers, patent leather pumps, an ivory pin cushion, white kid gloves with black stitching, a box of writing linen[?]. Viola, I have an awfully good looking dress, dark blue georgette crepe, beaded with blue steel beads. How are all your fellows--also who are they at present? I have a nice fellow myself and believe me Viola he is some peach. Remember me to [Alvia?], and all the girls also tell [Aliva?] not to forget to answer my letter. Also remember me to Mr. Brooks. There is quite a lot of snow here and it is real winter like. I am feeling well. Write to me sometime when you have a few spare moments. Wishing you a Happy New Year, I remain your friend, Margaret.
