Printed caption on the front reads, "N. Y. State Sanitorium, Ray Brook, Adirondacks, N. Y." Used, divided back, postmarked Ray Brook, September 25, 1912. Printed by the Leighton & Valentine Co., N.Y. City. Handwritten message on the back reads, "Dear Mrs. Rice, Just a line to let you know I am now at the Sanitorium. It is very pleasant. We all have the best of care. Of course it's lonesome, but [?] hope that will soon wear off. I want you to be sure and stop when you come back to Saranac. Yours with love, Maude."
