Printed caption on front reads, "Beginning of the Trudeau Sanitarium, Saranac Lake, N.Y. First Occupied by Dr. & Mrs. Trudeau." Used, divided back, postmarked Saranac Lake, April 11, 1912. Printed by the Hugh C. Leighton Co., Manufacturers, Portland, ME. Handwritten message on back reads, "8 Marshall St., Saranac Lake, NY. April 11, 1912. Dear Cousins, I feel fine and have gained 1 1/4 this first week and eat better. And am fine. Did you find pieces of your dress for jabots. Take good care of each other. With love, Eva Fincher." Mailed to Mrs. F. B. Allen, Corfu, NY.
