Description

Silver spoon with "New York State Hospital," and "22" stamped on handle. The reverse is stamped, "52, nickel silver." This spoon was likely used by patients at New York State Hospital for Incipient Tuberculosis, AKA Ray Brook Sanatorium. It was discovered buried nearby, and has corroded and rusted due to exposure to the elements.
