Black-and-White photograph postcard showing a Winter Carnival parade float moving up Broadway. The float appears to include Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty, and is on a sled pulled by four horses. The Fire Department Building and the former cottage at 95 or 97 Broadway are visible behind the float. Spectators can be seen on the street. Used, divided back, white border, postmarked Saranac Lake, February 3, 1920. A handwritten note was pasted over the back of the card reading, "Firemen's float which took 1st prize, Saranac Lake Winter Carnival, 1920. G. O. Martin, Laurens, NY." There is a message underneath the note, but it is not legible.Subject Place
